Gordon Walker's awestruck at how Lisa Carrington continues to excel

Walker's kayaking guidance has seen him named coach of the year at the Halberg Awards, with Carrington named sportswoman.

He says Carrington is one of the sport's greats, adding another K1 200m gold and three other silvers at last year's world championships.

Sportsman of the year Tom Walsh won the supreme award, beating out Carrington, team of the year the Black Ferns sevens and para-athlete Adam Hall.
