Chad Townsend appears poised to join North Queensland as the NRL club seek to replace the retired Michael Morgan and Newcastle-bound Jake Clifford

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

Australian media reports the Cronulla playmaker has verbally agreed to a three-year, two million dollar deal with the Cowboys.

North Queensland are prepared to open their cheque book with Morgan forced into a medically-induced retirement earlier this month, while Clifford has signed a deal to join the Knights at season's end.

Meanwhile, the Broncos have signed former Kiwis hooker Danny Levi until the end of the season.
