Glimpses of basketballer Steven Adams at his playful best at the annual NBA pre-season media day

Glimpses of basketballer Steven Adams at his playful best at the annual NBA pre-season media day

After missing the entirety of last season through injury - and then being traded to the Rockets - the New Zealand centre's readying for his return to action next week.

Adams has reunited with former Memphis team-mate Dillon Brooks in Houston - one of the most competitive yet polarising characters in the league.

The Rockets pre-season kicks off next Wednesday against the Jazz in Utah.
