    A new era for the Canterbury Rams with former Tall Blacks and Breakers assistant Judd Flavell signing on as their new head coach


    Mick Downer departed the club at the end of the recent NBL season and has since been picked up as coach and general manager at the Hawke's Bay Hawks.

    Rams general manager Caleb Harrison says he's been working on securing Flavell's services for the last couple of months.



    Flavell's currently working with the South East Melbourne Phoenix ahead of the Australian basketball league that starts in a fortnight.
