John, Brendon, Doug and now Michael Bracewell

The Wellington cricket captain's joined his uncles and cousin in earning selection for the national side in next month's limited overs series against the Netherlands.

His dad Mark is also a former Otago representative.

Bracewell concedes the sport has a place in their DNA.

Bracewell is tasked with batting in the middle order and contributing some overs with the ball.
