Daryl Mitchell's nagging has finally paid off

Daryl Mitchell's nagging has finally paid off

After representing Northern Districts for the past 10 years, Black Caps leg-spinner Ish Sodhi has shifted south to Canterbury for the 2022/2023 domestic season.

He already lives in Christchurch with his young family.

Sodhi says Mitchell, who left ND for Canterbury in 2020, has been trying to persuade him to move for the past couple of years.

The Black Caps are 40 without loss, having compiled a lead of 135 at stumps on the second day of their warm-up four-day cricket match against Sussex at Hove.

They dismissed the hosts for 247.
