South Africa's batting hero Aiden Markram hopes the World Test Championship title will inspire a new generation to embrace red ball cricket

The Proteas ended decades of heartbreak in global tournaments by beating Australia by five wickets in the final at Lord's.

Markram's majestic 136 earned Player of the Match honours...and he hopes more test matches will be scheduled in the future.
