The new eligibility rules for the Silver Ferns may be set to have a big effect on ANZ Premiership netball rosters

The new eligibility rules for the Silver Ferns may be set to have a big effect on ANZ Premiership netball rosters

While a new broadcast deal's been confirmed for next season, Australia's Daily Telegraph is linking defender Karin Burger with a move to the Sunshine Coast Lightning.

The paper also reports up to three other Kiwi players could join coach Kiri Wills at the Queensland Firebirds.

And Silver Ferns veteran Jane Watson's called time on her Mainland Tactix career - joining Ellie Bird in confirming she won't be back in red and black for 2026.

Whether Watson joins any exodus across the Tasman remains to be seen ... it's understood she's not retiring just yet.

The 35-year-old's been commuting from the Wellington region to Christchurch to play for the Tactix for the last two seasons.
