A quadruple blow for the Black Caps as they build towards their home summer

A quadruple blow for the Black Caps as they build towards their home summer

Injuries have ruled Will O'Rourke, Glenn Phillips and Finn Allen out of the white-ball series against Australia in October.

Mitch Santner's chances are in limbo - he's set for a month of rehabilitation after abdominal surgery.

O'Rourke's the biggest concern - sidelined for at least three months with a stress fracture in his back.

Coach Rob Walter says fortunately there's no need for an operation.

On the plus side, Tom Latham and Nathan Smith are tracking towards full fitness after injuries impacted their availability for the Zimbabwe test series... and Ben Sears has recovered from a side strain.
