New Zealand cricket coach Rob Walter has valued the chance to experiment with game plans in local conditions against India ahead of the T20 World Cup

The 4-1 series defeat against the top-ranked side marks a change to sparse 2024 tournament groundwork, which saw a group stage exit in the Caribbean.

The Black Caps' final warm-up game is against the United States on Friday morning.

The first match proper is against Afghanistan on Sunday evening.
