The Black Sticks men have been welcomed back into hockey's Pro League with a 4-3 defeat to India in Bhubaneswar

New Zealand held a 3-2 lead in the fourth and final quarter, with Sam Lane scoring two goals and Jake Smith one, but India came back to score two late goals to take the victory.

Captain Nic Woods is disappointed with the result, but he says the team's thrilled to be back in the league on Spark Sport.

New Zealand take on Spain tomorrow morning.
