Contrasting Olympic qualification fortunes for the Black Sticks men's and women's hockey teams

Contrasting Olympic qualification fortunes for the Black Sticks men's and women's hockey teams

The men have bagged a valuable point after a 2-all draw with fifth-ranked Germany.

The women's campaign is over - the first time they've missed the Games since 1996 - after a 1-nil loss to the United States in their final pool match.

A win for the men over Canada on Friday would see them advance to the final four.

Black Sticks defender Kane Russell says his side are tracking well.

The top three advance to Paris from the eight-team tournament.
