    Brand Carter appears set to make its next move closer to home


    Former All Black and Crusader Dan could take the field for the Blues in Super Rugby Aotearoa, in the hope it gets fans flying through the turnstiles.

    It's understood the 38-year-old free agent might join the Leon MacDonald-coached side in a player-mentor role, while Stephen Perofeta recovers from injury.

    Whether that pushes Beauden Barrett to fullback or takes incumbent Otere Black out of the starting XV remain moot points.

    The Blues play the Hurricanes in their first competition match on June 14.
