    Dan Carter could avoid being branded a rugby heretic in Canterbury


    The 141-game Crusader has signed with the Blues as injury cover and has lived within the franchise's boundaries for years.

    Chris McMillan - the manager at Carter's old club Southbridge - is realistic about the move and says if he needs some warm-up game time they'll welcome him back.
