Johnny Sexton's pleading innocence when it comes to reigniting his spat with the All Blacks and New Zealand rugby fans with revelations in his new autobiography

Johnny Sexton's pleading innocence when it comes to reigniting his spat with the All Blacks and New Zealand rugby fans with revelations in his new autobiography

The former Ireland first-five has used a section in the book to explain his on-field spat with Rieko Ioane in the wake of the All Blacks quarterfinal win at last year's World Cup.

Sexton says he called Ioane fake-humble - in response to the Kiwi centre reminding him not to miss his flight home and to enjoy retirement.

Speaking to a BBC podcast - Sexton says he simply wanted to offer his side of the story.
