Hoskins Sotutu's 2024 season of highs and lows has hit another hurdle

The Blues and Counties-Manukau number eight - overlooked for higher honours despite being rated as the Blues' best in their Super Rugby title win - has been ruled out of the All Blacks' end of year tour.

Initially selected for the All Blacks XV , coach Scott Robertson says Sotutu would have earned a call-up to the top squad with Dalton Papali'i, Ethan Blackadder and Luke Jacobson ruled out of at least the first test in Japan.

However a knee injury has put paid to that.

Uncapped Hurricanes flanker Peter Lakai and lock Josh Lord have instead been called in.
