All Blacks captain Scott Barrett has dangled the prospect of a 6-2 bench split being a possibility for the side in the Rugby Championship

All Blacks captain Scott Barrett has dangled the prospect of a 6-2 bench split being a possibility for the side in the Rugby Championship

Coach Scott Robertson has only used a traditional five forwards, three backs split on his reserves since taking the job last year.

Robertson opted to take two loose forwards on the bench for the French series, but Barrett - speaking to The Country - was asked about how to juggle the current stock of second-rowers.

Barrett says his calf muscle injury is tracking well ahead of the Rugby Championship.
