Kiwis have dominated the first Supercars race since the Covid-19 enforced shutdown of the season

Series leader Scott McLaughlin has held off a late charge from compatriot Shane van Gisbergen to take out the race in Sydney, and extend his championship lead.

Van Gisbergen used fresher tyres to launch a late charge - and McLaughlin says it was tough to keep him at bay.



Two more races will be held this afternoon.
