Former Formula one driver Stefan Johansson believes Scott Dixon would have been a Formula One champion had his career turned in that direction

Johansson, who now manages Dixon, says the Kiwi came close to getting a drive with Williams in 2004, following his success in the IndyCar Series the year before.

He says as it turned out they used Williams' interest as leverage to sign a good deal with Chip Ganassi Racing to remain in an Indycar.

However Johansson told the Beyond the Grid podcast that if all the stars had aligned Dixon would have been a Formula One Champion.
