    Australian motorsport icon John Bowe has revealed he's been diagnosed with prostate cancer


    The two-time Bathurst 1000 winner, who also won the 1995 Australian Touring Car Championship has announced he will begin treatment this week.

    In total Bowe made 225 race starts during his Supercars career with 15 wins and 51 podium finishes.

    The 66-year-old, who won the 1989 and 1994 Bathurst events as a co-driver alongside Dick Johnson, is not sure what effect the treatment will have on his immediate racing plans.
