McLaren Formula One team boss Andrea Stella is adamant Max Verstappen is still a threat for the drivers' championship, following successive wins from pole position in Italy and Azerbaijan

McLaren Formula One team boss Andrea Stella is adamant Max Verstappen is still a threat for the drivers' championship, following successive wins from pole position in Italy and Azerbaijan

The Red Bull driver had looked out of the running for a fifth title in a row, after falling 104 points behind Oscar Piastri and 70 back from Lando Norris.

But Verstappen has cut the gap to 69 points with seven rounds remaining...and, with 199 points still to be won, Stella says McLaren's keeping a close watch in the rear view mirror.

Liam Lawson's 5th place in Azerbaijan has lifted him to 14th in the drivers championship - two points clear of his Red Bull replacement Yuki Tsunoda
