A playful but hard to please Pep Guardiola as Manchester City claim head into a brief Christmas break with top spot - for now - in football's Premier League

A playful but hard to please Pep Guardiola as Manchester City claim head into a brief Christmas break with top spot - for now - in football's Premier League

A 3-nil home victory over West Ham puts City one point clear of Arsenal, who have a game in hand and can reclaim their lead when they visit Everton from 9am.

Despite a resurgent season so far, Guardiola's demanding more form his players - and was asked about an animated post-match discussion with City defender Josko Gvardiaol .

Visiting Liverpool lead Tottenham 1-nil with around 20 minutes remaining in London.

Earlier - Newcastle gave up a 2-nil lead to draw 2-all with Chelsea, Sunderland drew nil-all with Brighton, Bournemouth and Burnley drew 1-all and Brentford beat Wolves 2-nil.
