Inflation appears to be back on the rise

Stats NZ figures show food inflation is back up at five-percent, and energy prices are continuing to rise sharply.

Butter's up over 42-percent in a year, cheese is up over over 29, milk is up 16, and produce is up over seven.

Electricity's up at least 11-percent, and gas is up at least 14.

ASB economists now expect the inflation rate to approach three-percent this quarter.
