Optimism appears low within Netball New Zealand as they wrestle another crisis

Optimism appears low within Netball New Zealand as they wrestle another crisis

Dame Noeline Taurua has been stood down as coach ahead of the home series against South Africa next week due to unresolved issues within the high performance environment.

The squad for the series - as well as the new captain to replace Ameliaranne Ekenasio - are unnamed as yet.

Governing body chair Matt Whineray has fronted on the Mike Hosking Breakfast.

The news comes after a torrid period of overseas player exits and the lack of a long-term broadcast deal.
