    A teenager has been remanded in the custody of Oranga Tamariki after police investigated a social media threat which sent Wellington High School into lockdown for an hour

    A teenager has been remanded in the custody of Oranga Tamariki after police investigated a social media threat which sent Wellington High School into lockdown for an hour


    The teen's facing charges of possessing a point-22 rifle and five rounds of ammunition, without lawful excuse.

    The youth was arrested yesterday afternoon and appeared in court again today via audio-visual link .

    Details of the hearing can't be reported due to youth court suppressions.

    He's set to reappear again next week.
