The athlete that provided one of the highlights of the Olympics has competed for the first time since the Paris Games

Pole vaulter Armand Duplantis has proved simply excellent rather than record-breaking at the latest Diamond League event in Switzerland.

The Swede - who clinched gold and broke his own world record with a leap of 6.25 metres in Paris - cleared 6.15 metres to be 23 centimetres clear of his nearest rival.
