    All Blacks coach Scott Robertson has commended flanker Peter Lakai's efforts after being thrown in the deep end during the 30-29 defeat by France in Paris


    Playing in just his second test, the loose forward came off the bench in the second minute after Samipeni Finau was ruled out with a head knock.

    Robertson says Lakai stood up to the challenge.
