Liverpool and Everton have drawn 2-all in the final Merseyside football derby at Goodison Park

Liverpool and Everton have drawn 2-all in the final Merseyside football derby at Goodison Park

Mohamed Salah broke the 1-all first half deadlock in the 73rd minute, then James Tarkowski struck last on Sky Sport.

The goal was left in the hands of VAR officialdom for several minutes.

The result caps Liverpool's Premier League lead at seven points over Arsenal after 24 of 38 matches - Everton are 15th, 10 clear of the relegation zone.

To the Champions League repechage round first legs, Club Brugge have beaten Atalanta 2-1.

In the second half of the remaining fixtures - Feyenoord lead AC Milan 1-nil, Bayern Munich are up 2-1 at Celtic and Benfica have a 1-nil advantage over Monaco.
