Global markets remain on edge about Donald Trump's tariffs

Global markets remain on edge about Donald Trump's tariffs

New Zealand's NZX 50 has fallen almost three-percent in the first hour of trading today, after sharp US market falls over the weekend.

Its stock futures are also declining sharply, projecting further market declines this week.

Craigs Investment Partners' Mark Lister says investors are nervous about the risk of tit-for-tat trade wars.

He says everyone's very sensitive to any comment about retaliatory action, or people coming to their senses to do deals.
