Kerry Katona was "so scared" about her boob job

The former Atomic Kitten singer recently decided to undergo breast enlargement surgery after seeing her boobs shrink after losing almost 30lbs, and she admitted she was "nervous" about the procedure

Speaking before the operation, she told new! magazine: "I've always been nervous before having surgery - I'm not good in the lead-up at all.

"But I am so scared for this one. I think, with age, I've become more nervous. There's more to lose these days.

"I've got kids at home to think about, so there's more on the line if anything went wrong."

Kerry - who has five children from her three previous marriages - went from a 34B cup to a 34DD, and a source told the magazine that she often has "sleepless nights" before going under the knife.

The insider said: "Kerry is a worrier and she has sleepless nights before getting any surgery.

"She'd hate for anything to go wrong and that's always at the back of her mind. Being a mother is her life and she loves nothing more."

In the same issue this week, Kerry gave an update on her recovery after the procedure.

She wrote in her weekly column: "I'm in complete rest mode since my breast surgery, which is difficult for me since I'm always so busy.

"I'm still trying to do all of my meetings and am working from home

"I've also been spending more quality time with the kids since wrapping up filming on Celebs Go Dating, which is really nice."

The 44-year-old star revealed in April she had postponed the surgery after her daughters encouraged her to shelve the operation and prioritise her holiday instead.

She wrote in her column at the time: "I headed to get my boob job the other day and ended up not being able to get it done, I didn't realise that you can't get surgery after flying and I had just returned from Thailand.

"It's a shame, but I'm glad Pall Mall Cosmetics - where I was booked in - take safety so seriously and put regulations above the procedure.

"I could have rebooked it, but I'm going back to Thailand next week so I would have had to cancel my trip and the kids told me to just leave it for now.

"[Daughters] Molly, Lilly and Heidi all said: 'Go to Thailand, don't get your boobs done!'

"I think they just don't want me getting any more surgery! I'm going to leave it until summer when I'm less busy."
