    On person has died at Hawke's Bay Regional Prison after being found in their cell by staff


    The Department of Corrections says the prisoner was in their single-bed cell at the time and was unable to be revived.

    Police say they man died after an incident about 12:45pm.

    They are treating the death as unexplained and an investigation is underway.

    Prison Acting General Manager Shannin Mortensen says other men in the unit and staff are being provided with support.
