Four masked intruders allegedly stormed an Auckland restaurant and bar last night, while patrons ate

Police say the offenders arrived at the Glen Eden business around 10:30pm, armed with hammers and bats.

At the time the restaurant was open with customers inside.

Police say a worker who attempted to engage with the offenders was assaulted, sustaining moderate injuries.

They say a sum of money is missing from the restaurant and believe some customers may have picked up cash that was dropped in the carpark outside.
