More uncertainty for dairy farmers who supply Canterbury milk processing firm Synlait

The company's warning of a 77 to 82-million-dollar loss for the six months to January, due to the ongoing impact of previous "manufacturing challenges" at its Dunsandel plant.

Ashburton-based supplier Willy Leferink says he has full confidence the current management can get things sorted.

He says says people are worried, but they have supply contracts, and what really matters is they get paid.
