A mobile ear, nose, and throat specialist clinic's been set up for rural and remote parts of Northland

A mobile ear, nose, and throat specialist clinic's been set up for rural and remote parts of Northland

The first of several outreach clinics were held in Kawakawa last month.

Health Minister Simeon Brown says 53 patients were seen in two days - most who'd been waiting more than 10 months for an appointment.

He says these initiatives support efforts to reduce wait times for first specialist assessments and elective surgeries.

More clinics are planned for Kaikohe and Rawene this month.
