Businesses are calling for clarity, as the Government moves to pump up our AI options

Businesses are calling for clarity, as the Government moves to pump up our AI options

Science Minister Shane Reti's unveiled the country's first AI-strategy, in hopes of boosting economic growth.

He says the strategy will reduce barriers to adoption and give clear regulatory guidance for its use.

BusinessNZ Advocacy Director Catherine Beard says she says a strategy is a great start.

She says when businesses have more clarity on how the Government will legislate the technology, they'll have the confidence to invest.
