    A car has run into three pedestrians on Auckland's Queen Street this morning - seriously injuring one of them


    Police say it happened between City Road and Karangahape Road at about 6am.

    Two of the pedestrians suffered minor injuries.

    Police say the driver escaped the scene on foot ....and that two people were located nearby a short time later and taken into custody.

    Police want to hear from any witnesses who may have seen what unfolded.
