Christchurch Police have an increased presence in the city this weekend after an unsuccessful attempt to start a fire at a local gang pad

Flammable projectiles were thrown at the fence of a Cuffs Road property about 7.30 yesterday morning.

The fence didn't catch fire, - but Police remain in the area, to prevent any further offending

Inspector Craig Scott says they won't stand by as gangs create chaos in our communities, as gangs cause real unease for those living in the area.
