A$AP Rocky loves balancing fatherhood with his music career

The rapper, 37, has three children - daughter Rocki, six weeks, and sons RZA, three, and Riot, two - with his partner Rihanna, 37 and describing being a dad as the most fulfilling part of his life.

In a new interview with Perfect Magazine, he discussed what brings him the most joy, saying: "Being a father and a partner and a loving husband in my family is what makes me really, really happy."

He continued: "I hope this doesn't sound cliché, and I would hate if it does, because that's what honestly does get me going: being able to express myself creatively, being able to be a family man and being able to be an artisan. It doesn't matter what hat I wear that day, it's just about being able to give it my all and do these things."

Earlier this month, Rocky spoke to Complex about what he considered his best creation of the year, giving a lighthearted answer that reflected his family pride.

He said while laughing: "My daughter."

The performer added: "That's my favourite thing I created this year. Shout out to Rocki Irish."

Rihanna announced the birth of their daughter, Rocki Irish Mayers, on 13 September in a post on social media.

She shared photos holding the newborn, who wore a pink onesie, alongside a picture of Rocki's tiny pink gloves laced with ribbons.

Rihanna was also seen wearing a gold ring that read "Mom".

She captioned the post: "Rocki Irish Mayers Sept 13 2025 (pink bow emoji)," tagging Rocky in the post.

Shortly afterwards, the rapper - whose real name is Rakim Mayers - commented beneath the post to confirm the baby's gender, writing: "MY LIL LADIES (red heart emoji.)"

A source told People the couple were overjoyed to have a daughter.

The insider said: "They're so happy to finally have a girl.

"They've wanted this for a while and can't believe it actually happened. They love that RZA and Riot get to grow up with a little sister, all so close in age.

"Ri's always wanted a big family, and she's excited to do all the girl stuff. Rocky's just been saying he feels lucky."
