The final phase of a 160-million dollar upgrade to Massey University's veterinary facilities has officially opened

The 70 million dollar Nga Huia research building, sits alongside improvements made to the equine and native wildlife hospitals in the past 10-years.

Veterinary School Head Jon Huxley says as the country's only veterinary education provider they've got essential research responsibilities.

He says the upgrades enable them to continue research that supports our primary industries.
