    Two men have been arrested following a shooting that injured two others in Gore


    Police were called to an Aparima Street address on Wednesday night, after reports of a firearm being discharged.

    One person remains in hospital, while the other victim has been discharged.

    Two people - aged 36 and 54 - were arrested in Invercargill yesterday, and are due in court today.

    Southland Area Commander, Inspector Mike Bowman is thanking the community for their help, adding that officers will have a visible presence in Gore over coming days while the investigation continues.
