Nikki Glaser ended her stint hosting the Golden Globe Awards with a tribute to murdered moviemaker Rob Reiner

The comedian fronted the awards show for the second time as she took to the stage at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on Sunday night (12.01.26) and she saved the most meaningful moment until the end when she finished the show with a poignant reference to Reiner, who was killed in an attack at his home last month along with his wife Michele.

Glaser took to the stage wearing a hat emblazoned with the title of Reiner's 1984 movie Spinal Tap and finishing with a quote from the film. She said: "This one went to 11. Thank you guys for an amazing night, and I hope we found the line between clever and stupid. A good Chalamet to you all."

The funnywoman previously revealed she planning to make a reference to Reiner during her turn at the Globes and insisted she wanted it to be special.

She told USA Today: "I have something planned that I'm going to do in my own way to just acknowledge [Reiner] and celebrate him in my own way.

"I knew him, but not that well. I'm not going to linger on it too much because I think that's what we've been doing for the past few weeks.

"But obviously, I thought if something happened to me and Rob Reiner was hosting a show, given our relationship, how would I want him to handle it? I think I landed on something that I feel he would do for me, too."

During the show, Glaser's hosting was more light-hearted and she kept the audience giggling with a series of jokes poking fun at the A-list stars in attendance.

During her opening monologue, she roasted One Battle After Another star Leonardo DiCaprio, 51, over his penchant for dating younger women.

She said: "Leonardo DiCaprio is here for 'one man bun after another' ... what a career you've had, countless iconic performances, you've worked with every great director, you've won three Golden Globes, an Oscar and the most impressive thing is you were able to accomplish all of that before your girlfriend turned 30. I mean, it's just insane."

She added: "Leo, I'm sorry I made that joke, it's cheap. I tried not to but, you know, we don't know anything else about you, man. There's nothing else, open up. "

Glaser went on to joke she had searched for more details about the actor's personal life but concluded: "The most in-depth interview you've ever given was in Teen Beat magazine in 1991.

"Is your favorite food still pasta, pasta and more pasta?"

The comedian was then given a playful thumbs-up from the actor.

During the show, she went on to poke fun at Jay Kelly star George Clooney, singling him out over his long-running deal as the face of coffee company Nespresso by asking him how to fix her machine.

She said: "George Clooney, you're amazing, I'm such a fan. I've always wanted to ask you this question, it might be unprofessional but here goes: My Nespresso has been coming out kind of watery, and I'm wondering, is it like a pod issue, or do you think it might be the filter?

"Could you troubleshoot it for me later?"

Glaser went on to take a jab at Marty Supreme star Timothee Chalamet, saying: "Oh my God, man. What a dedicated performance you gave. It was incredible.

"This is interesting, not a lot of people know this, but Timothee Chalamet is the first actor in history to have to put on muscle for a movie about ping pong. This is true. He gained over 60 ounces. It's insane."
