    The Breakers' disappointing Australian basketball league season might still result in individual accolades

    Four players from the club have been nominated for gongs at the competition's awards night next week.

    Kiwi Sam Mennenga has been nominated for both most improved player and the Next Generation Award, where he finds himself alongside teammate Karim Lopez.

    Club captain Parker Jackson-Cartwright is one of 11 nominees for the league MVP.

    The Breakers will miss the Australian basketball league playoffs but will play the in-season Ignite Cup final this weekend.
