More drivers are choosing to flee from police

There has been a rise in the number of police chases, nearly three times the number of incidents there were ten years ago.

There's also been a marked increase in the number of police pursuits being abandoned.

Police Association president Chris Cahill (CAR-hill) says drivers have no fear of being caught.

He says the problem is clearly around drivers choosing to risk their lives and the lives of others on the road.
