Margot Robbie struggles with cooking for Thanksgiving

The Australian actress loves the annual American feast but confessed that she is yet to perfect a traditional yam casserole, which is topped with marshmallows and baked in the oven

Margot told E! Online: "I didn't grow up with Thanksgiving or the food that goes with it, but every year I try and I try and it, literally and figuratively, goes up in flames. Marshmallows! They're so flammable!"

The 'Suicide Squad' star has previously had problems with cooking sweet potatoes during the holiday season as she once recalled how she had managed to light the yams on fire but vowed to get them right.

Margot said: "Last year for our Friendsgiving, all the 'orphans' in town, we just (cooked) a big feast. I was in charge of the yams and I lit them on fire. It was terrible. So this year we're dividing up who's cooking what and I was like, 'I'd really like to give the yams a go again!'"

Margot previously explained that she would be keen to invite Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan round for dinner having met the former at parties in London.

The Hollywood star said: "We haven't (had dinner) but I would, for sure. Whenever I met Harry in London at parties, he was always a lot of fun, so it would be great to have them both over."

Margot feels that she and husband Tom Ackerley could "relate" to the royal duo as both couples have moved to the United States.

Asked if she had ever crossed paths with the Duchess of Sussex, Margot said: "No, not really. But obviously I know Harry and I kind of feel like we can relate to them and their move, so it would be cool to hang out and have dinner."
