    England batters Jonny Bairstow and Jamie Overton have resurrected their reply to New Zealand heading into the third day of the final cricket test at Headingley


    The hosts are 264 for six, a deficit of 65, but a recovery from 55 for six.

    Bairstow's 130 and Overton's 89, having built an unbeaten England record of 209 for the seventh wicket against all-comers.

    Overton has one century from 82 first-class matches and Bairstow's willing the debutant on to another.
