The US President unveiled wide-reaching levies on many countries in April, including New Zealand.
In November, the United States dropped tariffs on about 25 percent of our US exports - covering beef and a variety of fruits and veges.
Chris Luxon promises an economic recovery is taking shape, but says Donald Trump's tariff rollout was a major setback.
He says it caused huge uncertainty for investors and consumers alike.
