This year's Black Friday sales are breaking the record books

This year's Black Friday sales are breaking the record books

Shops and malls across the country were inundated by shoppers hunting for Black Friday sales yesterday - and retailers are expecting a busy weekend, with many continuing their sales.

Rod Duke, managing director of the Briscoe Group which also owns Rebel Sport, says this year's Black Friday has been the company's biggest ever trading day.

He says people are spending the money they can't use for travel on themselves -- and on their homes.
