    Three 14-year-olds will be appearing at the Waitakere Youth Court after allegedly fleeing from police in west Auckland, with four other teenagers


    The police helicopter spotted the stolen car about 1am in Swanson, tracked it to the CBD, then back to west Auckland.

    The driver and two passengers have been charged, and the other teens will be referred to Youth Aid.

    Waitakere Ward councillor Linda Cooper says police pursuits involving teenagers aren't particular to just west Auckland.

    She says some teens don't make the best choices because their brains don't develop until they're about 25
