After 30 years, the IRD is farewelling its old computer system

The overhaul cost 1.5 billion dollars, and was delivered on time - and under budget.

Inland Revenue Chief Executive. Naomi Ferguson says about 600,000 people will get automatic tax refunds.

She says the upgrade is making a real difference for small business owners.
