Riley Keough had a "very simple life" before her mother married Michael Jackson

The 35-year-old actress is the daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley - who died in January 2023 at the age of 54 - and musician Danny Keough, but recalled that her mother suddenly became more accustomed to an incredibly affluent lifestyle once she tied the knot with the King of Pop in 1994.

Speaking on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, she said: "Our life wasn't crazier because that already existed. But her life, I think when she saw Michael's life-there were things that he had that she didn't have. Like, she didn't have a plane at the time, you know things like that. She was then like, 'Oh I should have a plane. I should have this and that.' So, our life in that way kind of got bigger.

"Before that, she was with my dad and their life was very simple.

"At home, she didn't have 10 million assistants. She didn't need all of that. I think that changed."

Lisa remained married to 'Billie Jean' hitmaker Michael - who died in 2009 at the age of 50 - until 1996 and then she was married to Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage from 2002 until 2004 before tying the knot for the final time with Michael Lockwood in 2006, but they split two years before her death.

Lisa had twin daughters Harper and Finley, 16, with Michael, and also had Benjamin from her first marriage but he took his own life in 2020 at the age of 27.

Meanwhile, the 'Daisy Jones and the Six' star recalled some of her childhood memories and remembered toy stores closing down because it was the only way she and her family could do things in private.

Riley added: "There was a lot of closing down things for us. It was kind of like the only way our family could do things. If we wanted to go to a toy store or something like that-ride rides. I don't know if it was necessarily done for us or if it was just for our family situation."
